Junior discovery and play area for new school entrants.
Project Details
BHW worked with the principal and teachers to create a welcoming and nurturing play space for new entrants. The space helps new children adjust and settle into school life with a range of play experiences and activities. The design incorporates Maaori cultural elements with nature play and structured play equipment, including a junior slide, tunnel, play waka and whare.

Special details were introduced to maximise the play value in the compact site; seating around the existing tootara tree, bird houses, a bug hotel and an outdoor chalk board along the fence.
